  1. Call Comfort Inn (760.873.4284, 805 North Main St) to reserve a room under Golden State Flycasters. NOTE: the only way to reserve a room under the block is to have it approved by Crystal, the manager. She is on duty 6am-2pm every weekday except holidays. No one else at the hotel can reserve a room for you under the block, but if you give them your name, they have instructions and should give you some sort of confirmation when Crystal completes the booking. The block of 13 rooms is reserved for Feb 22 (check-in) to Feb 25 (check-out) at the very low rate of $111.20 + tax per night for king and $119.20 per night for two queen beds.
  2. Thursday dinner is on our own, but folks can gather in the lobby at the Comfort Inn at 6pm if they want to eat together.
  3. I have made Friday dinner reservations at 6:00 at Back Alley dining room
  4. Saturday club dinner and “awards” will be at Taqueria Las Palmas on East Line St at 6:00pm
  5. Please take the time to sign in (if you are a member), and REGISTER, so we know who is there and can keep an eye out for each other. Let us know if you are new to Bishop and need a mentor
  6. Here is a handout of useful information on Bishop: Bishop Handout August 2022. This file is located on the web site under the Documents tab in the subfolder "Trip Tips". Also, there are a number of geo referenced topographic maps created by Dale Dalrymple, located under the Trip Tips/Annotated Maps/Bishop Area subfolder. If you have trouble downloading any of these, let me know. The documents are provided as a benefit of membership, so members need to sign in to the web site in order to gain access to the handout and map files. If you're not a member but are registered for the trip, then either your hosting member or I can download the items and share them with you.
