Tuesday, September 12, 2023 for a
12-hour off-shore fly fishing excursion, led by Michael Schweit of FFI's Southwest Council! Michael has led many such trips to the waters off L.A. and Santa Barbara, and has kindly offered to help us with a similar outing from San Diego.
Cost of the trip is $450 per angler. Breakdown of the costs of the trip, and possible ancillary costs you may incur, are detailed below.
Payment in full is due no later than 6pm Friday, March 31. After that, if you need to cancel, refunds will only be possible if we can fill your spot.
Only 12 spots are available on the boat, but there is a waitlist in case anyone needs to cancel. You will be contact in order of the Waitlist entries if a slot opens up.
To register for the event, you will need to register on the site. However, payment will have to be made directly to either Michael or myself in order to confirm your spot. Our Venmo accounts are @Michael-Schweit and @Don-Fithian, respectively.
Cost breakdown:
The $450 per angler is based on the cost of the boat plus minimum galley fee, and 20% gratuity. Divided 12 ways, that comes out to $450 per angler.
Other costs you may need to consider, depending on your own needs and whether we travel into Mexican waters that day (as determined by the captain):
MX license - $16 (if needed; many of us have already)
FMM Visa - $35 (Coronado Islands Only)
Biosphere Bracelet - $5 (Coronado Islands Only)
CA fishing license -$19.18 (we all have already, but if you bring a guest, they'll need one)
Galley Minimum - $300
Equipment rental - $20 – $65 per set up, per person (if needed)
